LONDON, 2nd March 2016 – Pilgrims Group has launched a new short course, TravelSafe™, aimed at business travellers from any sector going to sophisticated environments in developed countries.

The entry-level course for staff who are travelling on overseas business lasts approximately 45 minutes and is broken down into four modules covering subjects such as preparation (including situational awareness, lowering your profile, personal safety), environment (taxis, airports, hotels and restaurants) and emergency response (what to do if something goes wrong).

Pilgrims COO, David Freear, commented: “This is the first time we’ve produced something like this, a very short course, aimed at the general business traveller, extremely focused and completely up to date with current threats in mind. It was designed in response to clients’ requests and is all about getting the individual to take more responsibility and start thinking, giving them the knowledge they need and helping them to feel more confident.

It’s a very cost-effective way of delivering training and contributes strongly to duty of care requirements imposed by external regulation and internal policy.“

Because it’s available online, the course can be done at any time, anywhere and additional information is available to back-up the learning. There is a short exam to complete at the end.

Pilgrims provides strategic to operational security risk management services, including award-winning training solutions, to government bodies, NGOs and private companies operating in a wide range of countries.

The company has experienced between 15 and 30% growth annually over the last sixteen years and built an impressive track record of enabling clients achieve their business goals in challenging security environments, whilst maintaining a 100% safety record globally.
