Pilgrims Group held its second annual Manned Guarding Awards at Foxhills, Surrey, this March; proudly rewarding its security officers for their dedication and commitment.

The event was held to commend those who have been recognised as making the greatest contribution in performing services to Pilgrims’ clients within the manned guarding sector.

Awards were divided regionally, ranking nominees into Gold, Silver and Bronze awards with the winners of each region qualifying for a place in the National awards for ‘Security Officer of the Year 2009’.

Pilgrims’ Director of Operations, David Freear explained: “The awards are about rewarding those who have gone that little bit further particularly along the lines of customer service, problem solving and professionalism, and especially those that work closely with us in achieving the aims of the customer.”

Nominees, chosen by Pilgrims’ contracts managers and operations managers were also assessed by a panel on their skills of communication, their willingness to help, loyalty, diligence, attendance and punctuality.

“Pilgrims operates at the higher end of the manned guarding market as we add more value and exceed client expectations due to the higher calibre of management and contract support teams we employ,” stated Pilgrims’ Managing Director, Bill Freear. “This is our way of ensuring those that have stood out above the rest are noticed and rewarded for their actions.”
